It’s been a busy week here at HQ. We started last friday with an instore performance at Tower Records in Dublin followed by a gig at the Crawdaddy which was part of a weekend showcase organised by the awesome Crackity Jones!
After a few hours sleep we were on the road again this time to Forfey festival in Enniskillen. It was pretty early and the stage we played was inside a barn, Gerry managed to convince the soundman to lock the barn doors so we could make the show a little more intimate… People were allowed in but not out!
Next stop was the Tanglewood festival later that same day. We managed to catch up with our buds A Northern Light, Dutch Schultz and Gacy’s Threads who were also playing the festival. Awesome sets all around from all involved and the craic was ninety! The highlight of the day was definitely when a poor festival goer got a bit more than she bargained for whilst taking a bathroom break and ended up falling into a barrel of water! We hope her camera and phone survived!
Last but not least was Newcastle for One Cool Weekend hosted by local radio station Cool.fm. It was way bigger than we expected and our good friends Silhouette were also playing just before us. After a very rocked up set we were very happy to meet some of our fans and get our pictures taken with them, you guys are all too kind!
Finally, we are very happy to announce that we will be headlining “The Next Stage” at Tennent’s Vital. Also playing the stage on the 23rd August in Ward Park, Bangor are Yes Cadets, Wonder Villains and Rams Pocket Radio. If that is not enough we will also be performing for Animal Disco, Auntie Annies, Belfast on September 30th and you will be able to leave the gig with a copy of the live performance done that night!
Up the APRmy!
