Finally left Brighton after our 4 days in the beautiful seaside town so it was cheerio to Steven Teague and all the others in the squat that was 44 Holloway Road. All the guys in the house were lovely and didn’t mind us taking over their sittin room for 4 days. Filled up the flask, got the tea in and hit the London road again. We’ve been to London so many times this year it’s starting to feel like home away from home. The famous Hope and Anchor was the destination. I was very excited about playing it as I’m reading a book about Rough Trade Records at the minute and the founder Geoff Travis used to go there to spot up and coming acts in the late 70’s. It’s a cellar venue which is always awesome and there was sense that a lot of inspirational musicians had graced this very stage. Pictures of The Stranglers and Sex Pistols playing there hung from the walls and after we re-fueled with a Wetherspoons burger we rocked a tight set. Met a guy called Shakey who liked us and offered us a gig on Wed in Camden so looks like we’re staying in LANDAN for a while yet. Thought we’d get to the ASIWYFA/Mojo Fury gig in Dingwalls but we ran late so it was back to Auntie Marys for a cup of tea, some Commando and a sleep.
