HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hope you all had a lovely xmas at home with your families, friends, pets and old school pals you now hate cuz they’re proper successful and have gone from mingin to hot instead of the other way round as you so hoped 5 years ago. I believe all members of the group got a little bit fatter and uglier so we’ve been hittin the broccoli and tread mills in order to be pure sexy for our upcoming photo shoots.

So what’s new in the APR camp? WELL we love twitter now anyways and have started a little hash tag for anything APR related that you’d like to discuss whether it be how sexy we look in our next photo shoot, our live shows, our merch, our upcoming album ANYTHING at all just add #APRmy to the comment. Our twitter name is @aplasticrose and we’ve also joined Instigram recently and have been uploading a photo a day for the past while, it’s worth checking out.

NEXT SINGLE

Mid March is the planned release date of the 1st single from our debut album through our label Di Di Mau and Third Bar which is uber exciting for us, especially after we spent 2 days in a snowy forest and on a roof top to film the video (it was beyond cold). The song is the album opener ‘Build From The Ground Up’ and will only be available to buy as a very limited CD packaged in a unique style by our good selves with the help of some arty mates design skills. The single will not be available to download as an mp3, the only way you can hear the track will be via our website www.aplasticrose.co.uk so please help us spread the news on your facebook and twitter pages when we release the final details.

A Plastic Rose are coming out of one of the most restless hibernation periods a band could have.. Their “downtime” saw them headline the Ulster Hall, recording sessions for NME, being picked up by Gary Lightbody (who wrote about them in Q Magazine, calling them a “revolution of the heart”), and headlining the Next Stage at this years Vital festival. Despite all this APR decided not to let these distractions stop them as they set about producing one of the most important moments in a bands life – the debut album.

These 11 tracks are a document of the hardest moments in the life of a new band, and frankly one of the most difficult times A Plastic Rose has ever had to deal with, yet they got through it while standing in front of the world with smiles on their faces.

A Plastic Rose have risen to every occasion asked of them by us, and stood shoulder to shoulder with peers, proving their worth on this earth never once asking for anything back other than for us to turn our heads their way and take note of the noise they’re making. Produced by Neal Calderwood(General Fiasco, The Answer, Fighting With Wire) in Manor Park Studio, these songs, this collection, is the debut APR have promised every step of the way, and on Friday 4th November for one night only they’re going to share it with you. This is by way of a thank you from A Plastic Rose. The chance to hear their most personal moments for the first time along with the band themselves, and in true APR fashion there’ll be a bit of a party too.

Album recording is going SUPER AWESOMLY, we’re almost finished and it’s sounding better than we thought it could possibly sound thanks to the genius of Mr. Neal Calderwood. We think you will all be pleasantly surprised If ya want a sneaky preview of the album in full come to the Menagerie Fri Nov 4th where we’ll be blasting it out through the PA at full volume. Doors are at 9pm, it’s FREE in and we have very special performances from VerseChorusVerse and Distractor. Well be pressing play around 9:30.

Soooooo here’s the really important shizz Oh Yeah and Volume Control are looking for YOU to help out with the promo for the Ulster Hall gig by handing out flyers at gigs around town and wearing the T-shirt. They’re FREE!

Whenever you purchase a t-shirt(£10) or copy of The Promise Notes (£10 and there’s only a handful left) you get a copy of ‘Live At Midnight’ FREE. That’s the best way but you can also purchase it for £5. Option 1 is best for you as you get TPN or a tee really, really cheap.

Since we obvioulsy can’t give you the CD til the end of the night we’re working a ‘pe-order’ system were we simply take your name and dosh to guarantee your copy. They are very limited and won’t be printed again so if you really want one then definitely do this. The CD’s duplicate fairly fast so we’re hoping to get them all done by around 1:30am all going well, if not, then definitely before the club ends.

This is one of the most exciting ventures we’ve undertaken so I really hope you can come and support us by appearing in our album
